Padmashri Dr. Vitthalrao Vikhe Patil is the great reformer of Pravara region. Even an uneducated man Padmashri Dr. Vitthalrao Vikhe patil understood the value of education in his age. Padmashri knows that education is the only medium for the upliftment of the rural people for this purpose he started Pravara Rural Education society in the year 1960. Now this institution turn into very large institution and there are many branches of it. Spread all over Ahmednagar District. 

            Taking the inspiration of rural development from Padmashri Dr.Vitthalrao Vikhe Patil , Honarable Shri .Balasaheb Vikhe Patil, MP., Chairman of Pravara Rural Education Society, Pravaranagar and Chairman of Standing Committee and Defence & Former Minister (Govt.of India) started a senior college at Satral in June 1998.

Now this institution is growing rapidly under the guidance of hon. M.L.A. Shri.Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil, Trustee of Pravara Rural Education Society and Former Minister (Govt.of Maharashtra). Every facility of higher education is opened for the rural students , Specially for the Girls by the college and all the students in this area started taking admissions in the college. 

              They are taking benefits of the facilities, which are available in the one college.  Our college is 100 % granted in which six special courses offer is for the student in Art Faculty and Chemistry Department is offer as a special course in Science faculty. In our College total 315 boys and 253 girls are taking higher education. Though Satral College is newly started it will establish in future and give the excellent education facilities and services rendered to the rural masses under the guidance of Prof.R.S.Shinde the Principal of our college.
